How can I make my window load maximized?

Jan 18, 2007 7:46AM PST

When opening a window it's always in the minimize size. How can I get it to open Max size?
Thanks.

Is your desktop properly sized

and you are questioning opening another window, such as using "open in a new window" ??

For that case go to a site and right click open in a new window. Then go to thbe dges of the new window where one gets the double edged arrows, drag the window to the size you want, then CLOSE the FIRST window you opened, not the one you just dragged. After you close the first one, you can then close the expanded one. From then on anytime you use the Open in a new window, it woill open at the new expanded size.

This is a Toni Hackler tip from many years ago.

still not working

That's for the advice. I have tried all of that, but it still will not maximize. Even if I try to pull it with my mouse I can't get it to go across the entire screen. About 3 inches from the left side it is like it hits a brick wall. I can not make it expand across that space. Could it be a virus causing this?

If not the answer may not apply to you or you didn't share which "window" or "program" it is. I have a few applications that will not stretch to full screen. That's proper for those programs.
