It's not something like a laptop that can run software to locate it. It's more like your wallet or you keys.

Find iPhone App

Download the Find iPhone app. You also have to set up a Mobile Me account. After you download the app and set up the account you can go to the Mobile Me website to see a map of where you Ipod touch is located, have it play a sound, send it a message, lock you touch, and I believe completely wipe you touch. This only works if you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. If you have anything else you're out of luck!
