Resolved Question

How can I get Windows 7 out of VgaSave mode?

Dec 16, 2011 2:40AM PST

My computer display resolution is stuck on 640x480, and the device is set to VgaSave. This is not something I selected. I've already tried restoring my system to earlier restore points and have done the Last Known Good Configuration; neither one has resolved the issue.

It's a forum thing. And so far I think even the forum elite and most holy can't undo that.

I could've sworn the link said reply, so that's comforting. At any rate, here are further details:

Didn't that machine come with Vista?

Thanks!

Yes, it initially came with Vista, but I tried the Window 7 test build (can't remember what it was called back then, RC?), and after it was over, I was forced into 7. At any rate, that driver said I didn't have the basic system requirements, though I clearly had them. I couldn't download it.

(NT) Glad it's fixed.
