Question

How can I get the printer to use just black ink?

Jul 21, 2012 3:16AM PDT

Hi, Hope someone will help me. I just started using my workforce 545 and only seem to have the option to use
full color and I would prefer to use just black and in a fast draft mode. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I've seen this question before

And it always comes back to checking the product manual and such. If you want others to check the manual you give links so they can dig in. But for most printers you look at the printer settings and hope to see a "print in black only."

Given the new low prices on B/W laser printers, they are the current lowest cost printers for the "per page cost."

Then again I found removing a printer from the facility to really curb out of control printing costs.
