Question

How can I get my Windows Live Mail to open

Mar 20, 2016 7:09AM PDT

Just yesterday, my WLM decided NOT to open. Don't know what happened, but super annoying.

I upgraded to Windows 10 about 6 months ago, and it was working fine. I'm using a PC that is about 7 years old, but kept clean and updated regularly.

What exactly do you mean "failed to open"?
Doesn't the program run at all, does it fail to conect to the server, does it connect to the server but not show the inbox on the screen, or did it fail to read new mail from the opened server into the inbox shown.

Any error message?

Does System Restore back to before yesterday solve the issue?

I double click on it (as normal) and it just spins -- never launches.

- Does it appear in task manager? If yes, it runs.
- What happens if you run it from the command prompt? Any error message?
- What happens if you run it after booting into Safe Mode?

And some background info please.
- To how many mail accounts is it linked?
- POP3 or IMAP or Exchange?
- Is the Windows folder where your mail is stored still accessible?

And you forgot to answer my question about System Restore.
