You will need 3rd party software. Please note that slipstreamed copies are said to not be usable for repair installations. If your system fails and you just want to do a repair, you still need the old disk and will need to run the updates again.
I have a licensed version of Windows 7 Pro, which I purchased from Digital River on the Web.
I have since updated it to SP1, and I removed the rollback files to save hard disk space.
My question -- how do I get a slipstreamed SP1-ready version ISO which I can use with my license? I'd like to keep a copy ready on a DVD in case I ever need to do an in-place reinstall of Windows, should it ever get hosed (I understand that this should be possible, as the Windows license is a separate entity from the ISO itself -- or am I wrong?).
I assume that any version of Win 7 Pro downloaded now would have the SP1 files slipstreamed into it. With the version I have now, I would have to do a complete reinstall.
Thanks
