Hi there,
Yesterday, I fell over and knocked a cup of milky coffee over my partners laptop, it landed over the keyboard but not that much actually hit it. Since then the keyboard has stopped responding properly, and I just wanted some advice on how to fix it, below I have listed the symptoms that are occurring and what steps we have taken already.
Symptoms
1) The keyboard was entering the number 3 constantly when it hasn't been pressed.
2) Some keys have started to take new actions, for example, the letter A now deletes information while trying to type in a URL into a browser.
Tried so far
1) We have tried cleaning the keyboard with computer wipes,
2) We have taken some keys off and cleaned them, this helped with the number 3 key however the others are still playing up,
I'm not sure what else to do and I'm hoping you guys can help me, as the advice I have received in the past from you guys has been amazing.
All I can tell you otherwise about the laptop is that it is a HP Notebook, but if further details are required I am more than happy to get them for you.
Thanks in advance,
Kindest Regards
Paul
