Resolved Question

How can I create an Outlook 2010 email with rich text fields

Oct 25, 2013 5:59AM PDT

HELP!

I'm wondering how I can create an email with forms that my inspectors can just complete by tabbing through and then emailing.

I've found info online about the developer tab, etc., but nothing concrete on how to do this.

I know how to create forms in Word, but it doesn't seem as simple in Outlook.

Thank you.

You're right.

There is a way using developer tools and more but as you suspect you would be a programmer, invest in the tools and develop the form and if need be the add-on for Outlook. Figure a thousand for Visual Studio and a year if you never wrote such before.

Are you sure you should go on the cloud for this one?
Or use a PDF form?

Use a .pdf form? You mean they would send it each time as an attachment?

I mean there are many ways to solve this.

But in an Outlook Form may be costly to develop if you don't do that all the time. I see most folk don't do that anymore but have folk fill in information on web pages. PDF is an option since it's been doing fill in the blanks for years and many know how to fill it in and creating such a form is just a matter of using Adobe's PDF creator.

Thanks Bob. The issue being I'm dealing with some pretty technically stunted people. I would like a .pdf, but feel they wouldn't be able to figure out how to attach it and send no matter how many times I showed them.

I just created a template with a table they can fill out. Just trying to make it easier on them with form fields so they can just tab through and send. It's already set up with recipients too.

I'm surprised Outlook doesn't let you do that.

You may be surprised why.

That form,

can easily be created in Adobe Acrobat, complete with fields for them to fill in and with a button to email the completed form to whomever you want.

You'll find details here: http://www.ehow.com/how_6235026_create-email-can-sent-back.html
This link also contains information on how to do this with other PDF creating applications.

Give it a look
