Question

How can I connect my devices into one monitor?

Aug 17, 2014 5:02AM PDT

Hello everyone,

I have a PC, iMac, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

I am tired of switching different Monitors for each devices above so I am looking for an answer to connect everything into my one 4-monitor setup.

How can I do that?

I think it might be possible to use my 4-monitor setup for both iMac and PC connected to my monitors system. But I am not sure that if it is possible to connect my Xbox and Playstation into my 4-monitor setup at the same time. Could you please give me some advices about that please?

Thank you.

Sorry but a PC can use VGA, EGA, CGA, HDMI, Display Port and other connections to displays so right there no one can guess what you have. Also, there are some number of iMac video connections.

What a stew of technologies and we didn't broach the One or PS4.

Then many PCs and such can't drive 4 monitors.

Time to step back and find out more of what you have and the goals.

A KVM switch springs to mind here

Then you would only need one monitor, not 4, but perhaps that is not what you are aiming for.

Why have more than one monitor when you can only use 1 at a time/

If your current monitor doesn't have the ports to accept *ALL* those connections then its dated. However, I wouldn't suspect a typical new monitor having such, unless its a TV type monitor. Even then you're limited to the selection they provide. I can only suggest you check the gamer side of options/devices and see if they have some KVM box in order to connect there then select as needed. Gaming websites may better offer what's out there. But, in general I've answered your ?, check KVM devices.
