Don't use Edge or Internet Explorer, use Firefox w/Adblock +

With Edge, there's no way to stop the ads, so download & install Firefox from Mozilla.org. Then install the addon Adblock Plus.

Good luck.

Answer
A Modified HOSTS Files Should Work Also
Aug 19, 2015 11:24AM PDT

As with previous versions of Windows, using a HOSTS file to block such ads and malware usually works fine also. I believe it's in the same location: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc

...and downloading and placing a modified HOSTS file from the link below will help. (As long as you're not on a Domain, you should disable the "Windows DNS Client Service" before using the HOSTS file, because a large HOSTS file can slow down the computer with DNS Client running.):

Hope this helps.
