I am afraid I am going to sound stupid but, I have no idea what I should back up and how to do it. I want to be able to have all my files and pictures backed up in case my drive goes bad or I have to do a recovery. I do not have record now on my system. I would like some advise please!! Thank You!! I am running SP2. Is there a utility you can suggest?

I use a free program from KaremWare .com
by Bob G / April 2, 2006 7:46 AM PDT

The program name is ptreplicator.
The download site is http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptreplicator.asp
I suggest that as a start you backup any new files that you create (word processor, financial, start list, favorites, etc.
Depending on your computer you can use your hard drive, a CD, or a speed disk. I use my hard drive and a speed disk (a memory chip that plugs into a USB port) because it is the fastest and easiest.
Good Luck Bob G

Thanks for info. Bob G, could you please let me know how to use the program for what I want to do. I have read the explanations of what each area is but I can't find anything on just copying right away. I would really appreciate it if you could give me a 1,2,3 approach. What I mean is 1. click file you want etc. Thank You!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
