Adding meta keyword option on wordpress

In reply to: How can i add meta Keyword to my Wordpress website

login to your WordPress account, on the left-hand side you can see the SEO menu in the dashboard.
SEO menu will expand and provide you additional options. Click on the “Titles and Metas” option.
Then you will be redirected to the screen where you have ‘other’ tab and check the ‘use meta keywords tag’ and save the setting to make use of it.

It's not a ranking factor anymore

In reply to: How can i add meta Keyword to my Wordpress website

Hi alberto158,

Meta keywords are not a ranking factor for SEO anymore, speaking of Google's algorithms. If you can, you can add them by using simple HTML tags, or if it is difficult for you, by using Yoast Wordpress plugin, but I don't recommend doing this.

Skip the meta keywords, pay attention that you have your main keyword in the pretty url of your site, page title, H1, and variations of the word in H2 or H3, keyword density of at least 1% in paragraph text, and try to put the keyword as close as possible to the begging of the first paragraph on the page, so the text immediately clears the subject of the page. Then optimize you photos by putting keyword in their names, captions and alt text. Also, write a good, descriptive, meta description, up to 150 characters, containing keyword, and call to action, and you are done.

With these ones done right, you've done a great job on on-page SEO optimization, no meta keywords needed.

Btw, I cannot see your site, is it a regular presentation or e-commerce site?

Kindest regards,

Meta Keywords are not of relevance any more

In reply to: How can i add meta Keyword to my Wordpress website

Hi,

Adding meta keywords to the web pages are not of any relevance as the google algorithm have avoided it completely as a criteria to rank your site. I would suggest you to concentrate more on doing a good long tail keyword research and have your site meta tags as Title, Description, H1, H2 tags worked on well. Also have the keywords in the first paragraph of your website content preferably and try to use recurrences of the keywords in the text. Do not try to over use the keywords. Also would like to suggest to have a good internal linking.
