Just for all of us laymen: can you explain what monetize is for a google account, what it has to do with adsense, what an ad code is and why you want to put it on the cnet site and not on your own site.

monetize

I was trying to link my google account with google adsense, obviously to make money and in order to do that I need to submit the website on which I can post informational things and when I tried posting my own site it didn't accept it but it accepted the cnet website.

The forums don't allow for such so my answer is simply no, you won't be doing that here.

If you have an account on adsense, So you need you own website or own blog there you can paste the add code. Cnet will not allow to paste your add code. You should create a informative blog or website and make it popular then you can use your blog or website as add platform.

I hope you will understand my views.
