I really need some help configuring my home network. I don't know the best way to connect these devices and configure them to play nice together. My ISP tells me that I'm free to connect my own router to the network to enable wifi, but for me to get wifi from their router would require a service call and additional fees to my monthly subscription.
My goal: I want to be able to receive wifi internet to my samsung galaxy s6 at home using my dlink wireless router.
What I have in place & working:
home wired LAN running windows 7 on my desktop
ISP- Brighthouse using Motorola SBG6580 (primary router has internet via coax & 4 ethernet ports)
What I have available for use:
Dlink dir-615 (secondary wireless router has 4 ethernet ports & 1 internet port)
What are your thoughts? What would you do in this situation?
Thank you for your support!
