Question

how can I access pictures marked favorites on my Olympus FE2

Aug 29, 2011 1:38PM PDT

I have an Olympus DE210 camera that uses the XD storage card. The camera also has its own small internal memory. The camera lets you mark any pictures as favorites and stores them in the internal memory. The problem is that when you want to transfer those pictures to your computer you cannot. You can't transfer from the internal memory. Any updated software out there that bypasses this? Olympus really isn't any help and they don't seem to care either.

That is odd, I have an OLD Olympus camera and I have done transfer from internal to card on numerous occasions. You should also be able to link the camera to a pc with the cable (comes with camera) and do it that way, of course you need the Olympus software loaded to the system.

Thanks for your reply. I downloaded the software from their website and used the cable just like you said and it uploaded all the pictures except the ones marked favorites. Then I noticed in their FAQs section there is a backup feature so I tried it and I couldn't access that feature. When I called and asked why, I was told its probably because of the card I'm using - a Fuji XD card. They said their cameras were only tested with Olympus, SD and Panasonic cards. Does that mean I have to go hunting around for one of these? They're not exactly a popular item around here and I'm on a very limited budget and I don't have the time or money to go searching for one of these. I need to get these pictures in the next two weeks! Any help would be so cool!
