hotsyncing problems!!

Mar 30, 2005 7:15PM PST

i'm having a problem hotsyncing jpg's to my tungstenE,,,,ie,,,they won't.

i can hotsync the jpg's to the sd card but i still cannot transfer them to the pda.

there is an "unknown error" and there are no details in the hotsync log as to why this is happening.

this is a culmination of problems that started out with palm photo not being able to view jpg's, even though there were no previous problems.

i did many delete/hotsyncs, soft reset, then hard reset. all to no avail

tungstenE, palm os5, wME

I can't see what you are doing.

But if I want to put pictures on my PDA, I don't use Hotsync. I just toss them into the DCIM directory on the SDCARD and it works unless the image is one the Palm can't render.

Hope this helps.

i guess that's better in thelong run because it saves space in ram. but palm photo takes a while to scan for images in sd(the first time),,,,and it still bugs me that jpg's don't transfer.

Transfer the jpeg files to the RAM first

Just transfer your jpeg images to the Palm's RAM. It will create its own pdb files along with the jpg files and resize the pictures. Then transfer the jpg files to your SD card and delete the pdb files from RAM.
