But as a Palm software app developer, I have many models such as m100, IIIc, Vx, Zire 71 and a T2. All sync fine with the PC and the data survives. Just one step is needed. When you sync a new unit, select the name that has the data.
If you move to the Axim, it's quite a different beast and moving your Palm data is not so easy. I will not discuss it but Dell will. Call them about how they help you move over.
Cheers,
Bob
My old Palm VII is dying and I need to move on; it hasn't even been able to hotsync for the last 2 weeks. I'm looking at the Zire 72, Dell Axim X30, and the Palm Tungsten E or E2, and am wondering first how seamless the transfer of data will be to any/all of these. Second, which of them are about to be retired, because I want simplicity - don't need all the bells and whistles - but don't want to be outdated in a year or two. And third, are the Palm non-replaceable batteries a big deal? Will I be forced to buy a new handheld in two years? Fourth, which would be the best to download ebooks rather than music, to either read or listen to?
Thanks for any help! Anniegreensprings
