Hotfix??

Dec 14, 2003 1:54PM PST

What is Hotfix?? In my add/remove programs window there are about 30 of these hotfix there. I thought they were there from when I installed drivers for my All In Wonder Radeon video card. See, I have XP, and when I click on the "click here for support information" button and click on the "support info" link a bunch of porn sites and crap like that come up. Did I accidently download something I shouldn't have somewhere along the line? Can I delete these? It would take about 2hrs to do so as I've tried before and for each one it makes me restart my computer after each individual one.

Anyone know what these are?? And if so what do I do with them??

WinXP patches are listed as "Windows XP Hotfix" on my PC so if they're just listed as "Hotfix", they may be something else entirely.

Try scanning for malware using the Anti-Parasite Suite and see what comes up.

I came to the forum to ask a similar question. Can I delete this Hotfix files without "undoing" the patch? What about SR1 files for Office or Windows?
