My neighbor's daughter (graduated college last fall) came over this morning to give me a warning about some nefarious characters in the neighborhood.
She told me "If someone comes to your front door saying they are conducting a survey on deer ticks and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up, DO NOT DO IT!!
IT IS A SCAM; they only want to see you naked.
I wish someone had warned me yesterday. I feel so stupid now."
I thanked her and told her that I doubted they would bother me but that deer ticks were serious business and that I thought I had seen one go beneath her shirt collar and to take off her shirt so I could get it.
She'll probably feel stupid again tomorrow because by the time she got her shirt off I saw it disappearing under the waist band of her levi's.![]()
