Horizontal Line on top of Taskbar

Jun 27, 2010 10:27AM PDT

It can be viewed here http://img266.imageshack.us/i/windows7line.png/
Btw, click on the pic to zoom in.

Also, when I pull up the taskbar, the line becomes a faint white streak about 2 1/2 inches (the line does not move with the taskbar when pulled up).

Note: THE RED BOX ISN'T THE LINE, IT'S JUST OUTLINING THE ACTUAL HORIZONTAL LINE.

The line does not move.

Does the line remain behind where it is if you drag the Taskbar down, or move it to some other place on the screen, eg top, left, right?

If it remains there, then I would have a look at the Desktop image itself, and see if the line is on that.

The line does remain where it is if I drag the taskbar.

Yes, I already had a look at the Desktop image and it didn't appear to have a line on it.

Another test.

Try changing the Desktop image.

Already tried beforehand, doesn't work with ALL the different desktop images.

Tried resizing the resolution, that didn't work.

Ahh that could be a clue.

Those wallpapers where the horizontal line appears. Anything underneath them, or just blank screen?

If it's blank screen have you selected the "Stretch" position in Display Properties?

Thanks for your help and your time!
I seemed to have solved it by just restarting the comp... lol T.T
