Question

Horizontal Black Lines on Samsung UN60EH6003F LED TV

Feb 13, 2015 5:31AM PST

I have developed a problem with my samsung tv. I purchased the tv new in November or December of 2013. A few weeks ago i noticed the tv had a single thing black line going all they way across my tv. The line was still there after trying multiple imputs. When i do the picture test, the lines are not visible. They come back as soon as the test is done. It is very frustrating to pay as much as i did to have it start having problems when it is just over a year old. Anyone know what the problem might me?

This sounds like either the source has the line (not likely but your post has me second guessing it could be the source and not the TV.) My test would be to see if the line is in the menus and setup areas too.

Frankly the cheap exit is if your set was from Costco (2 years!) and some credit cards. As this is rarely user serviceable, buy the extended warranty and then make the call for repair.

Unfortunately I bought the tv from Walmart. The lines are in the menu screens as well. With all the sources disconnected, the lines are still there.

If you press on side of tv( when I was moving it around), the lines move around. There is now 3 small lines next to one another.

I would never press on today's TVs.

They are not built to take much pressure. Try to extend the warranty if not bought on a CC that extends the warranty.

I apparently never registered the tv so I was trying to get statements from my cc company so I could know the exact date I bought it. I was told on a chat with Samsung that they would extend the warranty 3 months if I registered the tv. Is this true? I am probably just at the year and 3 month mark
