"There are 3 wires coming into the cabinet, each one has 4 wires."
I had to read this a couple times, so there are 3 sets of cables and each set has 4 cables.
First off I suggest you do some detective work, hook up one speaker cable at time to find out what cable is hooked to which speaker and make a wiring list.
Also find out what kind of speakers are in each box. Normally you only need on speaker cable for a speaker system. Repost with more info. John
My house has 3 sets of speakers, 2 in family rm, 2 in living rm and 2 outside. There are 3 wires coming into the cabinet, each one has 4 wires. It looks like 2 wires to each speaker as there are 2 speakers in each ceiling box. Each set has a volume control. What kind or size of amplifier do i need for hooking TV,CD player and iPod to. I want to play music on all stations at once or to play separately. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
