Cant change default home page! Or Homepage Hijacking.

Here's a post about...

Parasite removal programs.

http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-6132-0.html?forumID=32&threadID=1313&start=0 notes the five scanning tools and removal tools that are fairly safe. If one does encounter an issue, its always been damage done by the MALWARE. The most common issue being Layered Service Provider replacement which you can use LSPFIX (Hint: use http://www.google.com to find).

The thread has follow on discussions about new links if you don't want to use Google to find an item.

Bob

PS. All the tools are free.

Please post as you see fit. English as it is, some may find your words to be easier to comprehend or may find another answer that I didn't cover.

Best of luck,

It sounds like a homepage hijacker. If you can get to any other well-known website do a Google search for HijackThis and CWShredder. Download, install, make sure they are updated, and run either--or both.
These are good programs (and free)and will not add more unwanted content to your computer. These are the two I know best (and have used)--it's up to you.
Once you get up and running again try doing a little research on ad/mal/spy/foistware & BHOs (all scumware to me).
There are some very good free programs that keep this kind of stuff from ever getting on to your computer. I'd start with Ad-Watch and SpywareGuard.
Be very careful to check out any programs carefully--some are not much better than what they are getting rid of. If you are unsure, go to forums like computercops.com, spywareinfo.com, and, of course, CNET and get opinions from others.
Always keep these tools updated--just in case.
Hope this helps.
