Homegroups when changing network settings

I'm going to change my network settings from WPA security to WEP security so I can use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. I was wondering if I can just leave my homegroup the way it is for it to work or if I have to change some things with the homegroup. Thanks for any answers. I have a D-Link WBR-1310 router.
