The fact the mobile works and the DNS and more fail to fix means all the usual ideas are DOA.
Your ISP must answer this one.
I have some very frustrating problems that have developed in my home network. My ISP has been no help in solving. Just wondered if any of the members here had any ideas?
1. PROBLEM 1 - PS4 connection via wi-fi ok and connects to internet but will not sign in to PSN network (seems to time out?). Will not sign in or work with Netflix, BBCi, Amazon or any sign in network. When I connect PS4 to mobile phone hotspot, all functions work fine??? So the issue appears to be with the router or the server.
2. PROBLEM 2 - DVD player can connect via wi-fi and can access the internet. DVD player has Netflix, youtube, amazon and other functions. None of these functions work. However, if I connect via my phone hot spot all functions work??? This again suggests a problem with the router or the server.
3. PROBLEM 3 - Phone (O2/Tesco mobile) connects via wi-fi. However, there are issues when I need to sign into my google account (or any account). Throws up problems and hangs up/freezes. When I use mobile data, no problems occur.
4. PC connection via ethernet cable and home plug connectors seems ok but is more sluggish than should be for infinity but this is not the main issue.
5. PS3 connects via wi-fi and all functions work fine!!?? Signs on to PSN, Netflix, Youtube, Amazon etc., STRANGE WHY PS3 WORKS OK?
6. Laptop connects via wi-fi and all appears to work ok.
Background to these problems: I moved to BT a week ago from Plusnet. I had the same issues with Plusnet and had hoped that moving to BT would solve the issues. Note that all was fine until approximately 4 to 6 weeks ago when all of these problems suddenly appeared at the same time.
I have tried everything at my end. I have used different routers, changed MTU settings Pri and Sec DNS settings all to no avail.
