Hello,
Do you know how the wiring is run for the patio speakers and the other room speakers?
I am not entirely clear about the hookups, but it doesn't sound like it is connected properly for optimal sound distribution. What type of speakers are you using in the other locations and what is type of volume controls do you have? Are they impedence matching or non-impedence matching volume controls? Are the speakers 4 ohm or 8 ohm? Are the speakers connected in line one right after the other or home run to the volume controller for each speaker? Also, what speaker connections are you using on the receiver to send the audio to the speakers?
One more thing, if you wouldn't mind, what are the manufacturers and model numbers of your volumen controls and speakers?
Unfortunately since we are doing this online and not in person, all of these questions need to be answered in order to be able properly address your issues.
Waiting for your response.
Take Care,

I just purchased a Sony STRDE897S 7.1 channel system and it sounds great. My only dilemna now is that I had it hooked up by some Home Theatre guys whom I think did not hook up my patio speakers consisting of a Volume Controller and a Speaker Selector (4). I'm wondering if it possible to connect it in that manner?
I have my 2 fronts and 2 rears connected in the front room with a subwoofer and center channel speaker. I have a speaker in the ceiling in 3 different other rooms too, one with another Volume Controller. I'm also wondering because my patio speakers are not on for whatever reason, can I use the second zone on this receiver to connect my patio speakers up to?
