I locked the extras so let's stay with this one open.

I've installed a Samsung surveillance system, it's got ten cameras and works great. My complex has had 2 homes burglarized and I added the cameras and flood lights motion activated ones on all four corners of my home. Lets face it thieves usually will go to easy targets that's why my next door neighbor was also robbed; he woke up one morning with his car on bricks instead of tires. I've told him to at least place night lights in front and back of the house. Thieves are creatures of opportunity if you don't offer cheese they will go where it's at.
I want to go back a bit, if they are targeting you specific nothing will hold them back and you will be robbed but otherwise and the 99% cases it's random and that's what I've protected from. Oh my equipment can be seen from my phone as well as I have an alarm that lets me know from my phone if it goes off and I can also turn it off and on remotely as we can all forget.
I found the system to be easy and can also be connected to the home's wireless internet but I choose to go hard wired as it's always a better connection. The recording time depends on how many cameras and the quality and plenty of options so if you want it can be movement activated or by the time of day you set up. Again I choose full time all ten and I'm getting about a week with max resolution but depending on options you can get a month or more.
