Home Page Anger

Jul 23, 2016 10:56AM PDT

Is it just me or do others find this annoying? I like so many others get most of my news and current events from my chosen home page. But more and more do I find that there is so much crap on each and every webpage that you have to wait at each page scroll for something to load or some script to finish, that I often decide to quit the page. The worst ones are the Top 15 Widget Sales sites that will take forever for each slide to update.
Why do I need advertisement for a item I searched for on Home Depot to keep showing up on a page? I already found the information I was looking for and / or made the purchase. I don't need the suggestion for a Worx Aerocart for the next year.

Any suggestions?

- Install Adblock or Adblock Plus add-on in your browser.
- When searching for something to buy, use private mode in your browser. Maybe even better, use another browser, or another Windows account or another device (your Android tablet in stead of your Windows PC) for such activities.

Might help.

You can use the same browser if you set up a second profile for it. If using Firefox, you can run "firefox -profilemanager" and create a profile you use for all shopping.

Since Chrome is a spinoff from Firefox, it also has capability to create multiple profiles.

The first response works well, but I will give yours a try just for the learning and knowledge.
