Aug 25, 2018 2:00AM PDT

Hello,
I am about to upgrade my wifi internet and I will receive 100MBs down/40Mbps up inclusive of optical fiber router provided by the ISP.
I want to improve wifi coverage in my home of 2 storeys and I wish add another router asus RT AC88U . Is this solution a good option to improve my coverage and getting faster internet.
ISP provider will supply a router with maximum capability of 100Mbps
Thank you for your replies.

But for higher speed ISPs you find you must get a gigabit router which you did select.

Answer
Location of router counts

The location of the router counts when it comes to Wifi coverage. Placing the Wifi router in a central location is important for getting the best possible bandwidth within your Internet plan's speed range. Adding an ASUS RT AC88U router to your existing home network may not be necessary as long as you have a router that is located away from the edge of the home and in a central location.
