I have a wired network setup in my house, there are 7 wired rooms. At the smart panel I have the cable modem running to a 8 port gigabyte switch. In my master I have my wireless router connected to a wired port, works great. If I try to plug a computer in another room it will not connect, but if I turn the wireless router off and restart the switch it connects. Once computer is connected the wireless router will no longer connect! Help!

The cable modem needs to go to the router first then your switch connects to the router.

Quick answer. Wire like this.

Internet -> Modem -> Router -> Switch.
