Anyway, since you can get to the Internet, that shows you have the computer's Ethernet working. So your TCP/IP setup is probably not at fault. And since those other computers are able to get to the Internet also, the same is true for them.
I would look at any Firewall you have on the newly setup computer. The Firewall s permitting your reach out, but prevents other's seeing and reaching you.
i am working off of a home network. about 3 months ago it was working fine then i reformatted and it is no longer working. i checked my workgroup name and computer name and it all matches up with another computer in the house. they can all see each other but they cant see me and i cant see them. i get internet fine but for some reason i can share anything. can anyone give me some help.
