General discussion

Hola. Podcast survey.

Hi everybody! I'm interested to hear what you have to say about your experiences with the podcast. Was it easy to setup? Do you listen daily? Do you put your life on the line like the crazy hurricane guy does to submit your opinion? Here's my story:

I had some trouble setting up the podcast. I use Ipodder, and it took a couple weeks to get it running smoothly. I listen every day, but I can never think of anything to send Tom and Molly that has any relevence to what they were talking about. When I do submit something, I'm one of the people that has an irrepressible desire to be mentioned on the podcast. Come on, I know I'm not the only one- right? Also, I haven't put my life on the line for Tom and Molly yet. Peace, Brian W.

iPodder works for me
Nov 24, 2005 12:02AM PST

I've been using iPodder for a couple of months now. I use it to download several podcasts. I only had trouble once, not with Buzz Out Loud but another podcast that is generally put out weekly but they had a special edition and it started to download and then stalled. I found out I wasn't the only one with problems, and the problem was on their end I guess, not with iPodder but with the site that was hosting their feed, or something.

Well, I guess I'm too old to be concerned about being mentioned on the Podcast. Though I was excited to hear that Molly is a FoxTrot fan, like me.

Ipodder Lemon - no problems
Nov 24, 2005 12:40AM PST

I've been using Ipodder Lemon (for windows) for about 3 months now, because I don't like the bulky iTunes, and wanted something small, fast, and simple. Only issues I've had were podcasts taht stalled at 0.00% due to problems in the FEED. I just 'clear selected items' and then it automatically tries again next 'time'.
It even handles torrents (only issue with that is you can't launch a torrent downloaded podcast from the download window (it tries to launch the .torrent).
I listen daily (sometimes a day or two behind) by burning to cd-rw and listening on my commute.

No comments yet, but I wish I would have saved more episodes so I could create a best-of. Happy We need an online archive!

That's an awsome idea. Google reader keeps alot of them, but they don't have the old ones. Peace, Brian
