Hitachi 50V710 TV Speakers as Center Channel

I have a receiver that accepts regular R/L speaker wire for its center channel output. I am having trouble wiring my Hitachi 50V710 TV to the receiver center channel output. To me the documentation provided with the TV for this function is unclear. Has anybody solved this problem with their Hitachi TV? Thanks.

I have a subwoofer that connects to the R/L channels but have never heard of a center speaker that connects that way or maybe I am just not clear on the question.

There is a center speaker Left terminal (black?) that accepts one wire and a center speaker Right (red?) terminal that accepts one wire on the back side of the audio receiver. Documentation that comes with the TV does not show this type of example for "TV as center speaker" hook up

You are using the receiver for the sound? If that is the case then all you do is connect a center speaker to those 2 terminals. This shouldn't have anything to do with the "tv as a center speaker", unless the tv has a center speaker output.

The TV does have a feature where you can route the surround sound center speaker output to the TV speakers (in effect using the TV speakers as you would a center channel speaker). There is a wiring example in the TV manual that shows this but it is not representative of my system
