the vs810 is a great model. It has a dual focus lens system with the 3 lcd panels and produces a great picture. The blockiness that you hear of will happen with any LCD or DLP or even Plasma depending on the broadcast. With interlaced broadcasts on fast moving objects such as sports it can create the blockiness that you have heard of.
Hi, I know very little about big screens and am looking for some suggestions/help.
Trying to decide between the 50v525 and the 50vs810.
After viewing the 50vs810 in store i was noticing some reflection in the screen (screen door?) which was a bit annoying. Although the lights in the shop were very bright. I am mainly going to be using the set to watch hockey and play games. A guy at future shop told me that the vs810 would be better as it has a 25 element lens system and therefore will be able to refresh the screen quicker avoiding the ghosting effect when the action is fast paced. Is this correct?
I am also concerned about the "blotches" people are reporting with the vs810, although i could not see any on the one in the shop. I remember that there was talk of hitachi redesigning the screen and it was already fixed on the 60inch version, is the same true for the 50incher? I am in canada so not sure if all the old stock would still be around here or not
.
Is there an easy way to test for the blotches?
Please give me some suggestions/experiences about these tvs.
Thanks!
