Sorry to hear this. I just bought one on the 21st of November. So far no issues. I have not tried the cable card. Did you ever get it to work?
I think your retailer sucks. 20% is a total ripoff! I got mine from Conns. Great place to purchase things like this. They have the best service. Hope things work out.
I purchased a Hitachi 42V715 television. It has been nothing but problems. In the first week, the bulb burned out. I tried to exchange it and the Colder's (the retailer)wanted a 20% restocking fee for an even exchange.
The cable card function does not exist. Time Warner cable spent hours at my home to no avail. Hitachi sent me an upgrade which did not work. Future buyes beware.
