historic talk lp's to cd's? help for newbie

by bjrobinsonnky / November 30, 2008 11:23 PM PST

I have located 5 of what appear to me to be 45's that my Father made during WWII to send back to my Mom (both are gone now).

I am seriously thnking about buying the LP converter turntable from Brookstone to hook up to my laptop with an external hard drive to convert these records into CD's (I will need 7 copies for everyone in the family to have one). I can buy jewel cases and make "covers" for them. Farming it out would cost close to $200 and the piece of equiptment cost $150.

Am I biting off more than I can chew?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
