Rkill, Malwarebytes, SuperAntispyware, Hitman Pro.. If you're looking for on-demand scanners to clean up infected computers, all seem to perform well without a cost. Unfortunately, and I know it's been quite a few years since it was listed as such, Spyhunter's "rogue" background keeps myself and some others away.
Hope this helps.
The hijackers seemed to take over my computer-changed my webpages, lots of pop-ups, ads, etc
Tried everything and finally after a scan found Spyhunter 4 identified the hijackers and was able to clean the computer.
Would like to see CNET comment on Spyhunter 4--and hear from others. Their pricing is pricey ---
