Highpoint RocketRaid 27xx Seires and 3TB Drives

Jun 16, 2011 12:55AM PDT

At this time, Highpoint has compatibility issue with 3TB drives; they are awaiting additional customers to report on the issue before taking further steps to fix the problem - I like their products when it works, but their Q/A department is in disprate need for management change.

Glad that they didn't come out and say that on their site. I have a HP RR27xx RAID 5 with 8-3TB drives crash on me yesterday. Trying to figure things out but after seeing this I'm starting to feel that it's a complete loss. Thanks for the tip.

HP finally released an update BIOS 1.2LS as well as their driver and GUI app. - You may want to update them, then open an issue with support to report your findings.
P.S. Try to rebuid the Array; ask them how to do it on your Array configuration.
