High pitched noise from laptop

Hi!
I bought a new Dell Inspirion and periodically there is a high pitched noise coming out of the laptop.
Can anyone help with this?
Thanks.

New = warranty.

Make the call. If unsatisfied then move to getting a return and refund as "unfit for purpose."

It is that simple.

Once the noise starts nothing helps except turning the laptop off. I've googled this problem and it seems like a lot of people have this issue with various brands of laptops. I have a Dell Inspiron N4010. I'm returning this.

Does the noise vary when adjusting audio volume? If it is a new unit and this persists I would be for making the call, should be a warranty issue.
