Unfortunately, I don't have an explanation, and sometimes people can be sensitive to the unit. Why not try with your retailer to see if you hear the sound on the unit they're displaying? If you can still hear it at the store, it may not be something that a replacement could fix. But it wouldn't hurt to try.
Keep me posted.
I have a new Samsung 55" B6000 LED. I've noticed a high pitched sound that seems to be coming from the set - not the speakers (possibly power supply). It interacts with the normal audio and to me is quite irritating( causes ears to ring). My wife doesn't notice it. I knew that with CRT sets this effect is quite common but hoped LCD/LEDs would be OK. There's probably nothing technically wrong with the unit, in fact the pictures great, HD images stunning.
Is there any technical explanation for these high frequency sounds?
Hopefully I'll get used to it, but I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or perhaps I'm just hyper sensitive to these sounds.
The shop I bought it from is very reputable and has agreed to exchange it, though I'm worried the replacement will have the same effect.
