My answer, treat a VPN host with deep suspicion and move to something like TAILS.
I'm politically active (this is where you run and scream) I will be moving to a country that monitors internet connections very strictly. I would like to know how to hide my connection and route it through I guess numerous hops so I can avoid the heavy hand of censorship.. I will be broadcasting like a radio over the internet, but also will need to view websites and interact with them.. I have a vpn, but I know that really is not sophisticated enough to avoid detection for very long. Is there equipment or some application(s) available on the open market that I can acquire to assist me, even books .. I'm not a programmer, I am good with hardware and follow directions pretty well.. I know this is probably out of the ordinary when it comes to questions posted here.. But you never know where you will find the help you need until you start asking.. Right now I use win 7, but can switch to Ubuntu which I believe will be more useful and maybe friendlier to my endeavors.. If there are android solutions for this.. great.. would love to hear about those as well.
