Hi, would upgrading to Windows Vista 64-Bit Help my System?

I heard 32 bit doesnt use all 4 gigs like it claims

Hi my birthday is coming up and would like to know if windows vista would help me alot, I download ALOT, use the internet alot, schoolwork and play videogames.
My Computer Has:

Gateway - Model: FX7020

AMD Phenom 9600 Quad-Core Processor 5MHz (L1 cache: 64.0 Kb, L2 cache: 512.0 Kb, L3 cache: 0 Kb) Ext.clock: 1 MHz

4 Gigs DDR2 Dual-Channle Ram

That getting the last byte of ram won't speed up what you wrote about. In fact many 64 bit Windows users start to complain about compatibility issues.

What site made you thing moving to 64 bit would help your downloads?

64bit helps in only certain apps. and the extra half a gig of ram that you *may be able to use*, won't affect your overall performance.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
