Hi, My desktop hp runs slow , pages move slow and sounds lik

ANY help would be great as to what the problem may be ... the noise is driving me crazy as is the slow movement Happy

The noise is like the fan is running almost constanly ... HELP it is driving me nuts

This could be one of many things.

The noise you are describing sounds like a hard drive that's on the point of mechanical failure; if something has gone wrong internally, the disc(s) then catch the stylus arm and produce that high-pitched skreeking sound.
It could also be a failing fan on the CPU cooler, allowing the CPU to overheat; the same could be said of the fan on the chipset or the GPU card; if that fails or runs slow for any reason, the GPU gets hot and the display slows down. Best thing is to run the PC with the side off, and visually (aurally) check for which component is causing the noise.
