Hi Lonn,
I have had a look at your website and noticed that you have published all your Instructors, Healers amd Director email addresses. It may have occured that someone/something has collected all these addresses and now you're being spammed. There are ways of hiding the email addresses. Take a look at: http://www.e-mailus.net for ideas.
Another possibility is that one or more computers have been infected with a virus that infiltrates addressbooks and spoofs the ''To:'' and ''From:'' fields with the addresses found. If an address of yours is placed in the From: field and a defunct address is placed in the To: field your address will get an email failure notice. All you can do is delete and forget.
If, in fact, your server has been hijacked (can only happen to kofutu.com addresses as Yahoo and AOL use their own servers) then your server needs a patch to allow only authorised domains to relay through it.
There is plenty of info on the internet about relay abuse.
Graham.
Hi:
I think our server for the web site has been ?high jacked? for lack of better terms.
We are receiving Email failure deliveries for Email that was never sent from us.
This number is increasing at an alarming rate.
Some how they are using this Email address to launch their SPAM campaigns.
Would you please help me in determining what I should do and how much damage has been done to the Kofutu name?
Is their any way we can track this information back to its origin. And prevent this from happing in the future to other peoples Email addresses.
Two my knowledge this is against the law. Are there not agencies out there that follow up on this type of inappropriate misuse of the Internet?
Please let me know what I should do at lonnkofutu@yahoo.com I will be monitoring this Email today from 2:30 pm Central to 9:00 pm tonight. my phone number is 612-964-7852
If you know of anyone that deals with this type of situation please forward this Email to him or her.
Regards,
Lonn Lilledahl
