HI I am new here. Vista and space issues.I NEED HELP Please

Jun 7, 2012 1:34PM PDT

I have a Vista and it is a compaq presario cq60. My computer is about 4 years old. the battery is dead, and I dont play games on it. A few weeks ago I was noticing it was getting slower and slower. So After doing a few things I decided to so a recovery or restore what ever u call it. Back to factory settings. I updated like tons of stuff and added a few things. WELL the c and d drives are full still. I have no games, no pictures on this anymore. I did put my songs back on with my hard drive and downloaded itunes. This killed it. It is in the red and is mad at me. After reading and reading I am at a loss what to do anymore. I am using ccleaner and tried treesize but I dont know what I am supposed to do with tree size. I see some pretty big numbers there and I dont know what is safe to delete. What is causing my C drive to be so full? There is so many files and folders there that I didnt put there. Also my songs wont play on Itunes either. I know ultimately I need a new computer. This is a pathetic computer. It is hot as hell and runs slower then snot. I dont know what to post or how to do it. le sigh. I wish I knew more. Please let me know if u have any answers.

About treesize.

It's only a tool to sniff out where the big space eaters are. It's then for you to decide if you need to delete something there. Since the decision is yours alone, no one can tell you what to delete since it's YOUR MACHINE.

As to the drive being full, my advice is to delete a few things you have on backup copies then run disk cleanup as well as consider trying CCLEANER (see google)

I deleted everything. I put on only the suggested things like java and adobe. Flash player and gmail and stuff like that. I didnt let any games get on or nothing. I have run CCleaner and it found a few things but nothing significant. But I do notice alot of other things on my computer that are big but I dont know what they are. Well I will look somewhere else for help. Thanks anyways.

Remember since you didn't reveal any details we have to go with advice the covers it all. For example these are YOUR FILES so it's your choice to delete a file or not.

For now you can turn off system restore and turn it back on to get an instant free space boost.
