Question

Hi all

Mar 16, 2014 8:37AM PDT

I am designing a mobile phone case for my little project and I am trying to figure out the best material to make the case out of.
My question is:
Which is the best, easy to handle and reliable material to make the case out of between the following: Wood combined with rubber, Aluminium combined with rubber, HDPE?

I think most people would prefer something softer than any of those. The disadvantage of aluminium seems to be the Faraday cage effect.

I understand what you are saying, the thing is I want to create a case which can protect the entire phone from water damage, cracks and possibly fire damage. As for handling I will make it rubber coated to make it soft.

Hey there... First off, I think it's awesome that you are trying to create your own mobile phone case... How creative! Secondly, I agree that you'd probably want to use something a little softer than either of those materials mentioned above.. I wonder what kind of material is used for the Otterbox? I would possibly research it and try to figure out what they use and make it better!!! Good luck to you!
