Hey just wondering...

I was just wondering what the best and cheapest way would be to get wireless internet on my laptop. I travel quite a bit to I need it on the go. My zip is 52729 here and would need access in mainly big towns so I dont think service will be a problem. But ya I was sort of looking into a Blackberry or a PDA Smartphone that I could just use as a wireless modem. That way maybe I could even somehow just skype on it and call people for free. Well anyway, if anyone has any sugestions, that would be great.
