Hey Grif...

What is this thing with you and Lindburgh? I'm not exactally a newbie anymore, but always appreciate good tips.
Didn't seem correct to post this in your Tips post, so hope you will see it.

Lindburgh seems to have some good tips, but also seems to want some "thank you's". I have no problem with that, but many posters will not say wether or not a tip helped them, they just fade away..LOL.

Know I can always rely on your information, at least so far. Hee hee..
And, you do it without a request for thanks, or some other recognition.

Ah well, just wanted to get this off my chest. Hope maybe something will work out to have all "Tips and Tricks" in the same post.

Ray,

Thanks for not posting this in the "Tips" thread as it distracts from its intended purpose and too many sub-posts make it difficult easily read the "Tips" type of thread we have to work with.

I didn't know that there was a "thing" with me and Lindburgh at all...at least there's not on this end.

In regard to the separate "Tips" threads, if you haven't followed the progression of things....A couple of months back, based on the urging of Lindburgh and a few others, I started a "Tips" thread. In the first post of that thread,(CLICK HERE for That Post) because the forum software doesn't currently support a "Sticky Note" type of post, I requested all users who wanted to add to the Tips thread to add them in the thread that I had started. (Until we get forum software that will allow a "Sticky", I'll continue to ask this of all forum users should they want to create their own "Tips" as it's easier to maintain and is easier to find for the members.) I tried to get all "Tips" to be in one location. Instead, Lindburgh chose to start a thread of his/her own. Indeed, Lindburgh's thread has excellent Tips and I've mentioned such before, but unfortunately, I don't have time to maintain/bump multiple threads. Linburgh's thread will need to be maintained by Lindburgh, or others if they choose to do so.

I've learned over the years that there are hundreds of "lurkers" that will receive a benefit from the large variety posts on these forums. Many don't even register with Cnet. "Thank You's" are nice but not required. That's not why I'm here.

Hope this helps a little...

And keep up the good work Ray.

Grif

Unfortunately it didn't work out

You are not privy to the E-mails which I received

I did suggest many things but the authorities that are wouldn't support me or my suggestions upon how to improve the page in combining anyone who wished to place a tip.

The comments were suffcient to disuade me from further contributions
However once again Thank You
Lindburgh
