Hesitating on which video camera to buy

Both are the run of the mill home camcorder.

You would have to decide one over the other based on your criteria. Said criteria was not shared other than "which one you would choose."

I'd pass on both since I'm shopping for 3ccd and HD capabilities. I have some nice JVC miniDV unit so that works for me.

Are you sure you want these old camcorders? Digital8 is almost out of the camcorder world and MiniDV has gotten better since the GR-D370. I suggest a newer camcorder that has some improvements implemented on them versus the older models. Sony or Panasonic are great companies to buy miniDV camcorders from. Perhaps, try looking into them.
