Trump’s response to indictments: “why aren't Crooked Hillary & the Dems the focus?????

This morning, Paul Manafort and his business associate Rick Gates were indicted on a range of financial crimes that came to light as a result of the ongoing investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 election. Separately, we learned that George Papadopoulos, a former Trump foreign policy advisor, had plead guilty to making material false statements and omissions during interviews with the FBI related to their investigation.

Trump responded on Twitter by complaining that the financial misconduct in question predated the campaign. Besides which, the real issue is Hillary Clinton.

NO word YET on what the "material false statements and omissions during interviews" were/involved.....

Why aren't

In reply to: He's still "rattling those keys"

The simple answer is Hillary is not the prez and the Dems are not in power.

I suspect if you went back through each admin you would find a lot of shenanigans went on.

Trump does not like the spotlight on himself or his admin.

So he would like to move that light in some other direction.

The problem is this Russian thing and the elections.

Wouldn't you think that if the Russian government

In reply to: Why aren't

had a favorite in the election they'd use reverse psychology on the American voter? ie. "please don't throw me in the briar patch"

The typical American voter bases their vote on what they hear on cnn or fox or some other biased source.....twitter?

This is why a good propaganda machine is so important.

That would be a shame

In reply to: No

It would mean that the underground was stronger than the above ground. The news above the ground seemed to say that Russia, other than strong criticism for aggressive behavior toward their semi-sovereigns, got some kind of cake from the US anyway. I'd think Putin has little fear of criticism but sure likes the kind of "cake" he got in return.

RE;got some kind of cake from the US anyway

In reply to: That would be a shame

Russia got some cake,

YOU got that right....

Just what they were hoping for?...

Putin was going to "eat cake" no matter what happened.

The plot was discovered?........Putin is already "bad"..HE breaks even...POTUS looks bad....

The plot wasn't discovered?....Putin comes out ahead..."BFF with POTUS.

TheRUMP got out smarted by the Ruskies....

Yes it is

In reply to: That would be a shame

Voters don't fact check.

As for Putin and cake that's an issue that is being played out.
I suspect there will be some political finger pointing on the issue.

And that political finger belongs to Trump

In reply to: Yes it is

and it's picking up steam, even with Mueller since he's tied Manafort to PODESTA's group....wonder why Tony has stepped down from his post heading it up?????

RE: finger

In reply to: And that political finger belongs to Trump

Trump wants to move the spotlight.

He does not like what voters are seeing and hearing daily about him and people tied to him.

The legal system will do it's thing.

If it leads to Clinton that's fine by me.

So because the LIAR isn't president

In reply to: Why aren't

(you're so fond of that choice of words) and the DEMS aren't in power, they should be left alone and NOT investigated, even though ALL of the evidence of Russian influence, including bribery, points in THEIR direction and not Trump's? Typical response from a liberal leftist Dem.....don't look in this direction because there's nothing to see here?

RE: So because the LIAR isn't president

In reply to: So because the LIAR isn't president

THE LIAR isn't president?........But A LIAR is?

they should be left alone and NOT investigated,

I thought TheRUMP was running the show...HE should direct someone to investigate.

Where there's smoke, there's fire.

You obviously have no clue about

In reply to: RE: So because the LIAR isn't president

the way our laws work....OUR President isn't ALLOWED to direct the DOJ to investigate anybody. He can SUGGEST it publicly, but he can't issue a directive to do so.

Collapse -
And there's plenty of smoke AND fire

In reply to: RE: So because the LIAR isn't president

to go towards the LIAR and the DEMS at this point, JP.....NO fire in Trump's direction and very little smoke, except what the liberal Dems are trying and have been trying to create for Trump.

Up until yesterday's Manhattan attack

In reply to: RE: very little smoke,

FOX NEWS was all OVER the indictments, JP. Colbert is lying thru his teeth that they haven't been covering it. The only difference is that FOX actually digs into the story and reports ALL of the facts going into it, whereas the liberal media is doing NOTHING but spinning it the way they want their viewers to see it, and deflecting it AWAY from the Podestas and Clintons actually being INVOLVED in at the very least the Manafort indictments.

IF you bother to read the indictments against Manafort you would be able to see that they are accusing him of various things such as conspiracy against the US, but they aren't actually INDICTING him for it....same thing for the taxes issue....they accuse him of trying to avoid paying taxes but haven't INDICTED him for TAX EVASION. The entire thing is a bull.... list of accusations and OPINIONS, but very little to do with actual INDICTMENTS with any teeth.

Collapse -
Left alone?.....no

In reply to: So because the LIAR isn't president

Right now the emphasis is on the current prez and his people.

If the legal system expands out to Hillary and the dems that's fine.
